Catch up...

So it's been a while since my last post.. (not that there's too many people out there reading them, lol)

I had my jewelry party on Thursday of last week and it went splendidly! So much fun, the girls all got along and who doesn't love jewelry? I can't wait to get my pieces..

Thinking about possibly getting into selling the jewelry...

Premier Designs

I got my lovely pink 50's inspired dress last Friday!! I LOVE it!! It does make my hips appear big (which I don't necessarily need) but it's authentic and the Hubby likes it too :)

I was fretting over what shoes I could wear with it, but I had gone to Salvation Army the middle of last week and got three pairs of shoes for $1 each!! And wouldn't you know it... one of the pairs are vintage pink shoes with a Mary Jane type strap, open toe and it has a kitten heel... I need to post pictures...

I also got a cream and black pair of open toed, sling back heels with a little bow on the front.. the heels on those puppies are about 3 inches which is a tad hard for me to walk in, but I managed this past Sunday :) I got lots of compliments..

I have also decided to start posting some pictures I have taken... kind of to promote my husband and I in our photography endeavours...eventually I may have a blog for it...

Shirtwaist Dresses

I am so in love with shirtwaist dresses... the ones that are more A-line... they work well with my monstrous hips..

I have been watching them on ebay and for a long time but to no avail...

It's been such a long and tiring week.. I'm super excited for the weekend! Two of my lovely ladies are coming to visit and I don't have to work :)

Today my Hubby and I celebrate 11 months of marriage :) And not only is our 1 year Anniversary next month, so is my birthday!

I'm really trying to come up with more exciting posts but it's not happening right now...

Eventful

So, I scalded myself with boiling water last night on my leg. It was a stupid thing I did... I was making spaghetti and I went to drain it. Our pot is one that has holes in the lid so you can just drain it from the pot instead of using a colander. The spaghetti was coming out of the lid even though i was using the side with small holes; I tipped the pot back to see what was wrong and there was a lot more water in there than I had originally thought and it spilled ALL over my leg.. :(

I haven't gone to the doctor's yet...hopefully it doesn't get infected.

Still plugging away at editing Brooke's senior pictures and waiting for my Hubby to edit the shoot he did of me... :-P

I am on a mission to lose weight...about 40 pounds... why? Because I am very overweight for my height and I just don't feel as well as I used to, and I can't fit some clothes I have and I'm not going to buy new clothes to accomodate the extra fat that has accumulated on my being...

Today was another good day.. we took some more pictures out by a lake... There were a lot of people there so my self-consciousness tok over... :( But they aren't bad pictures, I suppose....

The husband and I also picked up 2 used bikes.. one for him and one for me.. I need to get into shape and lose some weight...

Trying to think of new things to post to my Etsy site.. I have a lot of people like what I have up, but no sales yet... Jewelry is apparently very hard to sell...

We have church tomorrow and I start helping out in the Children's Ministry choir... Looking forward to that :)
