Knitting and such

First.. i just deleted everything I just typed :(

But in other news, I taught myself how to knit last night!! :) If anyone out there knows how to purl, please let me know an easy way to do it!!

Husband and I are spending time with my family this year... could be interesting as I think there are conflicting views on what is and isn't appropriate.... and we brought our kitten with us! I hope he starts warming up to the other cats soon!

It's supposed to snow tomorrow (Christmas Eve!) I hope it's not too bad, but it's exciting!

The hubs and I also shared [part of] Christmas today.. He gave me an AWESOME set of Artistry makeup brushes -- Love them! And he got me.. These fabulous sparkly red Converse :) Are they not adorable?!

...ugh..

Dyed my hair yesterday..it turned out soo spotty and bright at the roots.. So I tried to fix it today.. and it's better.. but not great :(

Then I had an awesome evening with the Hubs :) Went to the mall and got Starbucks then we drove through a rich and beautiful neighborhood to see all the Christmas lights...

Just finished "All About Steve".... not nearly as good as The Proposal, but I adore Sandra Bullock!!

I started making my scrapbook/album for a Christmas present and I found out that I don't have enough scrapbook pages for all the photos.. I guess its gonna have to be a 2-part gift...

Today has been interesting.... I can't wait until I get my package from eyeslipsface.com I want to start doing reviews and hairstyles and such..

I'm very excited about tonight!! We're going to see Wicked with some married friends of ours.. I can't wait!

We've been doing promotional work for the modeling agency my husband and I are signed with.. I believe this is my 5th weekend doing it, which means long work weeks with only Sundays off, and with church, they aren't really "off."

It was a pretty good day... not so good ride home... but overall, not a horrible day..

I'm super tired though.... Going to go to bed...

I Love him...

Cats and Pearls

Grrr... It's been a bit of a frustrating evening... I come home after work to the kids (our cats) and I pick up our little kitten and he starts smelling my shirt sleeve, quite intently I might add... So I put him down and smell my shirt and it smells like cat pee!! :( Gross!!

I go upstairs to the laundry basket where I had gotten my shirt and lo, a towel was stained yellow and was quite pungent, as was one of the Hubby's shirts and a washcloth.. Let me tell you, I'm livid! And i go to the basement to do a load of laundry and there is cat pee in front of one litter box, which then ran under the litter box and then across the floor to the next litter box and then some... He is living here on borrowed time... :( I know I'm going to be really upset if we have to get rid of him, but this is unacceptable...

In other news, I'm trying to figure out how to wear a pearl necklace that has a bow on it.. I made one to put in my Etsy store (which desperately needs updated) but for right now, I'm wearing it :)

This is kinda what it looks like.. but it's only one strand.. I guess I will just wear the bow in the back for now...

Case for a Creator/Update

So I have decided as one of my resolutions (which includes losing about 20 pounds), I will start blogging again. I didn't realize it had been since August that I last posted, and again, I know not many people read it now, but maybe one day more people will!

Church was such a blessing tonight! God reminded me of the necessity for prayer and for sharing His Love that He freely gave to me with other people... we watched The Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel (a former atheist) and it really was a faith increaser!

Romans 1:20-23,

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

God has presented Himself in nature, but man refuses to see it and admit it because then he is accountable to someone and has to live in such a way!

Anyway,

Praise the Lord as well b/c it is super windy here in good ol' North Canton, and as I am getting out of my car at the grocery store, the wind pulls the door out of my hand and it hits the car next to me leaving a pretty sizeable dent... :( So I wrote a note w/my name and # for the driver... The woman was so nice though when she came out (which happened to be right around the time I had left the store) and told me not to worry about it...

In other news (haha), I've been kinda drawn to different looks, inspired by Katy Perry and Lady GaGa (and I realize I could catch some flack for that, but it doesn't mean I endorse their lifestyles!) I'll post some pics! :)

I love being able to do my hair vintage-y and pretty and look like a lady!

Going to make some dinner for myself and the Hubs.. :)

So it's been a while since my last post.. (not that there's too many people out there reading them, lol)

I had my jewelry party on Thursday of last week and it went splendidly! So much fun, the girls all got along and who doesn't love jewelry? I can't wait to get my pieces..

Premier Designs

I got my lovely pink 50's inspired dress last Friday!! I LOVE it!! It does make my hips appear big (which I don't necessarily need) but it's authentic and the Hubby likes it too :)

I was fretting over what shoes I could wear with it, but I had gone to Salvation Army the middle of last week and got three pairs of shoes for $1 each!! And wouldn't you know it... one of the pairs are vintage pink shoes with a Mary Jane type strap, open toe and it has a kitten heel... I need to post pictures...

I also got a cream and black pair of open toed, sling back heels with a little bow on the front.. the heels on those puppies are about 3 inches which is a tad hard for me to walk in, but I managed this past Sunday :) I got lots of compliments..

I have also decided to start posting some pictures I have taken... kind of to promote my husband and I in our photography endeavours...eventually I may have a blog for it...
